After Arrival in the USA

 U.S. Airports

When you arrive in the U.S., you must go through immigration, get your luggage, and go through the customs process. Then, if you did not fly directly into Phoenix, you will re-check your luggage and get on another plane to come to Phoenix. Plan at least a three-hour gap between when your flight lands in the U.S. and the next flight to Phoenix leaves. Keep your important documents together and carry them with you so you are ready to present them when asked. Review the Transportation & Security Administration (TSA) security screening policies at https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening to ensure a smooth connection to Phoenix.

Once you have reached Phoenix Sky Harbor airport, information desks are available to answer any questions. After you collect your luggage, proceed to the ground transportation area, where you will find the shuttle or taxi service you reserved. The distance from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport to ASU’s Tempe Campus is 5.5 miles or a 10-minute car ride. The distance from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport to ASU’s West Campus is 22 miles or a 40-minute car ride.
